Job Purpose

The Plumber Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the plumbing and drainage systems within the Bank’s facilities operate effectively and safely. This position is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of plumbing systems according to established codes and specifications.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Maintenance and Repair: Execute maintenance and repair tasks on all plumbing installations within the Bank facilities.
2. Installation and Testing: Assemble, install, and pressure test pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, drainage, sprinkler, and gas systems, adhering to specifications and plumbing codes.
3. Troubleshooting: Determine sources of plumbing malfunctions and complete repairs as indicated or according to work orders.
4. Pipe and Fixture Installation/Repair: Install and repair pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and plumbing system equipment, including sinks, commodes, water heaters, water softeners, among others.
5. Kitchen Equipment Maintenance: Repair kitchen equipment involving gas or water consumption as per required standards and work orders.
6. Material Selection and Estimates: Select materials and hardware and provide time and materials estimates.
7. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records on materials and labor, preparing relevant reports on a weekly basis.
8. Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure safe operating conditions.

Qualifications
