Job Summary

As a Payroll, Compensations & Benefits Officer at M.P Shah Hospital, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with statutory regulations, and managing employee benefits. Reporting to the Human Resources Business Partner, you will play a key role in maintaining efficient payroll systems and supporting the organization’s compensation and benefits strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Processing: Prepare and process monthly payroll accurately and on time.
  • Statutory Compliance: Ensure timely submission of payroll-related statutory deductions such as PAYE, NSSF, NHIF, and HELB in accordance with tax legislation.
  • Systems Management: Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing and accounting systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions and facilitate audits as needed.
  • Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits including medical schemes, reward and recognition programs, and compensation structures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, systems, and procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to address payroll-related inquiries and issues.
  • Ad Hoc Tasks: Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with technical expertise in payroll processing and benefits administration.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Certified HR professional and registered member of IHRM.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
