Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and organized Office Administrator to manage the day-to-day operations of our client’s Mombasa office. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth functioning of the office environment and providing administrative support to the team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in office administration, preferably in the construction or electrical industry. This position requires a candidate who is familiar with office equipment, basic bookkeeping principles, and possesses a valid Driving Licence.


Key Responsibilities

As an Office Administrator at the Mombasa branch, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Office Management: Oversee daily office operations, ensuring the workspace is organized and functional.
  • Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support, including scheduling meetings, managing office supplies, and maintaining filing systems.
  • Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external communications, ensuring effective information flow within the office.
  • Bookkeeping: Manage basic bookkeeping tasks such as processing invoices, managing petty cash, and maintaining financial records.
  • Logistics Coordination: Coordinate office logistics, including travel arrangements and procurement of office supplies and equipment.
  • Compliance: Ensure that the office complies with all company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Customer Service: Assist in addressing client inquiries and resolving issues to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in office administration, preferably within the construction or electrical industry.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with office equipment and basic bookkeeping principles is essential.
  • Licensing: Possession of a valid Driving Licence is required.
  • Location Preference: Candidates living or working within the Coast Region will be given first priority.
