Overview
Join our team of Nutrition & Dietetics Officers and make a difference in your community. We are currently hiring 7 dedicated professionals to provide essential nutrition services in sub-county hospitals, maternal and child healthcare, and hospital wards and kitchens.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary Range: KES 39,700 – KES 52,960
- House Allowance: KES 16,500
- Commuter Allowance: KES 5,000
Qualifications
To qualify for the role of Nutrition & Dietetics Officer, you must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in food nutrition & dietetics, dietetics/clinical nutrition, food science & nutrition, or home economics from a recognized institution.
- Registration with the Kenya Institute of Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Certificate in computer applications.
Job Description
As a Nutrition & Dietetics Officer, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Diet Planning and Management
- Plan, formulate, and manage therapeutic diets in consultation with the Senior Nutrition Officer.
2. Nutrition Expertise
- Serve as a resource person on nutrition within the health team.
3. Community Engagement
- Collaborate with families to develop weaning foods using community resources.
4. Community Initiatives
- Initiate nutrition-focused projects in the community to promote healthier living.
5. Supervision and Guidance
- Supervise and provide guidance to other staff members working under your leadership.
