Objective of the Position: The Nurse Sexual Reproductive Health will provide medical treatment and sexual reproductive health (SRH) services to patients and survivors of sexual violence/intimate partner violence (SV/IPV). Reporting to the SGBV/Mental Health Supervisor, the successful candidate will ensure the quality and efficiency of services, adhering to MSF medical protocols, procedures, and universal hygiene standards.


  1. Comprehensive Clinical SRH Services:
    • Offer the full spectrum of clinical SRH services and procedures according to medical and MSF protocols.
    • Provide reproductive health education and counseling based on patient needs and situational context.
  2. Medical Procedures in SRH & SGBV Unit:
    • Conduct care, treatment, and medical procedures in the SRH & SGBV unit following medical protocols and guidelines.
    • Identify and attend to the medical needs of sexual gender-based violence victims, adhering to survivor-centered principles.
  3. Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) & Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP):
    • Demonstrate knowledge and awareness of the importance and appropriate use of PrEP & PEP Kits.
  4. Mass Casualty Incidences and Medical Emergencies:
    • Participate in the response to mass casualty incidences and other medical emergencies.
    • Ensure triage of patients, pre-hospital care, and stabilization during emergencies.
  5. Hygiene Standards and Infection Control:
    • Follow universal hygiene standards/precautions, bio-hazard prevention, and infection control.
    • Maintain high standards of hygiene in the working environment.
  6. Pharmacy and Medical Equipment Control:
    • Participate in department-related pharmacy and medical equipment control and maintenance.
    • Ensure proper documentation and follow-up of drug orders, inventories, and stock takes.
  7. Administrative Procedures and Documentation:
    • Complete administrative procedures and documents, including patient files, forms, and statistics.
    • Ensure appropriate written/oral handovers, report problematic situations, and maintain patient documentation.
  8. Training and Continuous Learning:
    • Assist in the training of other staff, participate in Continuing Medical Education (CMEs), and engage in other learning initiatives.

  9. Qualifications & Requirements:
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Nursing with training in Sexual Reproductive Health and/or Counseling.
    • Experience: Minimum 2 years of demonstrable working experience in providing a comprehensive SRH service package. Previous experience in offering comprehensive SGBV care is an added advantage.
    • Languages: Essential local languages Kiswahili and English.
