Key Responsibilities
As a Merchandiser, you will play a critical role in driving sales and ensuring the visibility of Kinangop Dairy products across retail outlets. Your responsibilities will include:
Stock and Display Management
- Ensuring that stores and shelves are stocked with the right types and quantities of products.
- Displaying, arranging, pricing, and rotating products using the LIFO (Last In, First Out) method.
- Maintaining store shelves by removing outdated or damaged products.
Inventory and Sales Optimization
- Monitoring store inventory levels based on sales and intake trends.
- Identifying bestsellers and recommending strategies to enhance sales volume and profitability.
- Assisting in the development of promotional strategies using sales and pricing data.
Collaboration and Market Insights
- Collaborating with outlet management to ensure timely execution of promotions, giveaways, and marketing activities.
- Introducing and educating buyers and store staff about new products.
- Gathering information on market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to improve Kinangop Dairy’s performance.
Analysis and Reporting
- Conducting basic analysis on sales figures and providing reports on growth ideas, expansion, and market shifts for timely decision-making.
- Filling in daily worksheets and documenting location visits.
Customer and Store Engagement
- Networking with buyers and store staff to negotiate orders and achieve sales targets.
- Handling supply or production challenges in allocated outlets.
- Assessing the performance of various SKUs and recommending actions to supervisors.
Required Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Education: Degree/Diploma in Business, Sales, or Marketing.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods).
