Job Summary

Are you an experienced Mechanical Technician with expertise in injection molding? Our client, a leading plastic packaging manufacturing company in Nairobi, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join their dynamic team. The main purpose of this role is to execute both predictive and planned preventive maintenance, ensuring plant machinery and equipment are in excellent condition to support production and other departments efficiently and effectively.


Salary and Benefits

Salary Range: KSh 50,000 – KSh 60,000

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance: Execute predictive and planned preventive maintenance on plant machinery and equipment.
  • Repair: Troubleshoot and repair injection molding machines and related equipment.
  • Inspection: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the production team to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Kaizen and EMS: Apply knowledge of Kaizen and Environmental Management Systems (EMS) to improve processes.

Qualifications

  • Education: Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years working with injection molding machines in a busy manufacturing plant.
  • Skills: Proficiency in predictive and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of injection molding machines.
  • Advantage: Knowledge and experience with Kaizen and EMS.
