Key Responsibilities

As a Management Accountant, your primary duties will include:

1. Financial Reporting and Analysis

• Preparing monthly management accounts with accuracy and timeliness.
• Developing and presenting financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Conducting in-depth analysis to provide valuable insights that inform strategic decision-making.

2. Audit and Compliance

• Ensuring compliance with all audit requirements and facilitating timely audit closures.
• Supporting internal and external auditors during the review process.

3. Cash Flow and Budget Management

• Managing organizational cash flows effectively to meet operational needs.
• Creating and monitoring budgets, ensuring resources are allocated optimally.
• Tracking budgets vs. actuals to identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Providing real-time financial updates through daily dashboards for management.

4. Project Financing and Appraisal

• Securing funding for projects and ensuring their successful completion.
• Evaluating projects to determine feasibility and return on investment.

5. Operational Oversight

• Verifying the accuracy of payments and accounting entries.
• Performing payroll checks before payment processing.
• Training finance staff and introducing new team members to accounting policies.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

Education and Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA (K) or ACCA certification is mandatory.

Professional Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Management Accountant or in a similar role.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration.
