Legal Counsel Position at Simba Corporation Ltd

Purpose:

To ensure consistent and reliable legal services, fostering compliance with statutory requirements, principles, and stakeholder needs. This role emphasizes risk management, innovative compliance solutions, effective communication, training, and meticulous management of legal projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Compliance Management

Guiding the Company to Legal Adherence

  • Review Laws and Regulations: Scrutinize relevant statutory laws and regulations, ensuring alignment with best practices.
  • Business Activities Compliance: Confirm conformance of business activities with laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Permits and Approvals: Keep all regulatory permits, licenses, and approvals current and suitable for business requirements.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct continual compliance risk assessments, updating internal policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Regulatory Updates: Stay informed about regulatory developments, providing regular reports and recommendations.
  • Business Process Re-engineering: Engage in exercises to ensure adequate controls within business processes.

Providing Informed Legal Counsel
