Job Summary

We are seeking an entry-level Kiosk Cook to join a dynamic team located in the bustling CBD of Nairobi, Kenya. As a Kiosk Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering food that meets the client’s specifications, ensuring it is both delicious and safe. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts, an understanding of food safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Kiosk Cook, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Sales and Marketing: Engage with customers to promote and sell food and beverages. Utilize effective sales techniques to attract and retain clients within the CBD.
• Food Preparation: Prepare a variety of food and beverages, ensuring that all dishes are cooked to perfection and meet customer expectations.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all ingredients and final products are fresh and of high quality. Adhere to food safety standards at all times.
• Timely Service: Prepare and serve food promptly, ensuring that customers are not kept waiting.
• Kitchen Hygiene: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and orderly kitchen environment. This includes proper handling of utensils, equipment, and dishes.
• Stock Management: Monitor inventory levels, manage stock, and place orders when necessary to avoid shortages.
• Equipment Operation: Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring that all tools are in proper working condition.

Skills and Qualifications

To succeed as a Kiosk Cook in CBD, Nairobi, the following qualifications and skills are essential:

• Education: A certificate in Hospitality or a relevant educational background is highly advantageous.
• Food Safety Knowledge: A solid understanding of safety procedures, including the correct temperatures at which ingredients must be stored and cooked to avoid food-borne illnesses.
