The Kenya Yearbook Editorial Board (KYEB) is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy, established to enhance Government communications through the production of publications that promote awareness of government agendas.

1. CORPORATION SECRETARY & MANAGER LEGAL SERVICES

Position Overview:

As the Corporation Secretary & Manager Legal Services, you will be responsible for providing guidance to the Board on governance matters, ensuring legal compliance, and facilitating effective communication between the organization and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Board governance and induction.
  • Preparation and circulation of Board papers and minutes.
  • Legal guidance on contractual and statutory obligations.
  • Stakeholder communication and liaison.
  • Custodian of legal documents and contracts.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 12 years of relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Master’s degree in Law or related field.
  • Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, member of relevant professional bodies.
  • Strategic leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

2. ASSISTANT MANAGER CORPORATE COMMUNICATION & MARKETING

Position Overview:

Join KYEB as an Assistant Manager Corporate Communication & Marketing, responsible for developing promotional materials, managing corporate events, and enhancing the organization’s brand visibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Development of promotional materials and strategies.
  • Liaison with advertising agencies and marketing services.
  • Management of corporate events and functions.
  • Promotion of positive corporate brand and visibility.
  • Coordination of corporate social responsibility programs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Communication, Mass Communication, or equivalent.

3. SENIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Position Overview:

As a Senior Graphic Designer, you will be responsible for creating visual concepts, developing graphics for various purposes, and ensuring quality design output at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Creation of animations/graphics.
  • Development of graphics for product illustrations and branding materials.
  • Designing artwork for flyers, brochures, posters, and logos.
  • Managing website and social media content.
  • Submission of regular reports on design tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of work experience in relevant position.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Art and Design/Fine Art or Graphic Design.

4. GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Position Overview:

  • Designing artwork for flyers, brochures, and social media content.
  • Awareness of emerging design technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of work experience in relevant position.
  • Diploma in Art and Design/Fine Art or Graphic Design.
  • Competency in computer applications.

5. PHOTOGRAPHER

Position Overview: As a Photographer, you will be responsible for capturing creative images for use in KYEB publications and maintaining photographic equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and taking creative pictures.
  • Sourcing pictures for publications.
  • Captioning and archiving pictures.
  • Editing and displaying images.
  • Maintenance of photographic equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in photography or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Computer Applications.
  • Compliance with Chapter Six requirements.
