1. Manager – Data Processing

No. of Positions: 1
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Director, Statistical Coordination and Methods, you will be responsible for planning and implementing activities in the Statistical Coordination and Methods Directorate.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing guides/templates for the development of Analysis and Tabulation Plans.
- Developing data capture systems and collection instruments.
- Analyzing data and generating analytical reports.
- Developing and maintaining databases for various censuses and surveys.
- Implementing data archiving and data cleaning processes.
- Formatting statistical publications.
- Developing and managing budgets, work plans, and procurement plans.
- Implementing contract management and identifying staff training needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Master’s degree in Statistics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Certificate in Strategic Leadership Development Program (SLDP) or equivalent.
- Proficiency in data processing packages (CSPro, SPSS, STATA, SAS, R).
- Minimum of three years as an Assistant Manager, Data Processing or equivalent.
- Strong analytical, financial, and human resource management skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

- Basic Salary: Kshs. 133,260 – Kshs. 189,960
- House Allowance: Kshs. 40,000

2. Librarian

KNBS Level: 6
No. of Positions: 1
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Library Services, you will be responsible for undertaking activities in the Library Services Section.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing library materials and user services.
- Verifying and accessioning newly acquired materials.
- Providing user education and information literacy services.
- Conducting information searches and retrievals.
- Cataloguing, classifying, and preserving information resources.
- Digitizing and indexing information resources.
- Preparing and submitting library reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Studies, Information Sciences, Technology in Information Science, or related fields.
- Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.
Monthly Remuneration
- Basic Salary: Kshs. 80,400 – Kshs. 117,720
- House Allowance: Kshs. 20,000
- Commuter Allowance: Kshs. 12,000
3. Assistant Statistician, Field Services

No. of Positions: 10
Job Purpose
Reporting to the County Statistics Officer, you will be responsible for undertaking activities in the Field Office.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispatching and receiving questionnaires.
- Collecting, collating, and classifying data.
- Capturing data into statistical applications.
- Maintaining checklists and databases.
- Preparing census databases and listing field sampling units.
- Conducting pre-tests and piloting data collection instruments.
- Editing and updating records in the sampling frame database.
Requirements
- Diploma in Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related fields.
- Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.
Monthly Remuneration
- Basic Salary: Kshs. 46,500 – Kshs. 70,500
- House Allowance: Kshs. 8,000
- Commuter Allowance: Kshs. 8,000
