ABOUT THE ROLE:

Kenchic, a leader in the poultry industry, is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Depot Clerk – DOC. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient functioning of our depot/one-stop-shop by managing the seamless flow of Day-Old Chicks & veterinary products. Your contributions will play a vital role in maintaining accurate records, achieving sales targets, and enhancing overall operational efficiency.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Sales Target Achievement:
    • Contribute to the company’s profitability by meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual chicks sales targets and promoting complementary products.
  2. Order Management:
    • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual chicks’ targets through efficient order taking, booking, receipting confirmation, dispatch, and timely delivery to customers.
  3. Document Management:
    • Guarantee proper documentation of accounting documents such as Daily Sales Summary, Deposit Utilization Forms, Cash Count Certificate, and Cash Book.
  4. Credit Control:
    • Assist the Regional Manager in credit control by promptly notifying when credit limits or periods exceed recommendations.
  5. Booking Schedule:
    • Maintain an up-to-date booking schedule in alignment with the company’s chicks production estimates.
  6. Customer Relations:
    • Liaise with the Regional Manager to prepare customer lists and ensure timely submission to the Nairobi Poultry Centre & Hatchery.
  7. Database Management:
    • Assist in building a regional customer database to strengthen customer relationships at all levels.
  8. Asset Management:
    • Efficiently manage all assigned funds, materials, and equipment to maximize the use of organizational assets.
  9. Premises Maintenance:
    • Ensure cleanliness and presentability of the Poultry Centre premises, including customer lounges and chick rooms.
  10. Complaint Handling:
    • Facilitate and document all customer complaints, directing them to the Regional Manager & Head Office, and ensuring satisfactory resolution.
  11. Record Keeping:
    • Maintain proper record-keeping and filing in the Poultry Centre, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
  12. Control Systems and Procedures:
    • Maintain and improve control systems and procedures, including inventory management, stock movement, order processing, and dispatching.
  13. Office Hygiene:
    • Ensure the office is clean, tidy, and in a hygienic state at all times.
  14. Data Input:
    • Accurately and timely input data into the system, assisting in stock-taking as required.
