Network & IT Infrastructure Intern

Join our team as a Network & IT Infrastructure Intern and take the first step towards a successful IT career. In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the efficiency and security of our network infrastructure, playing a crucial role in supporting our business operations.

Job Description

As a Network and IT Infrastructure Intern, you’ll be at the forefront of maintaining our diverse network infrastructure, comprising various hardware, software components, and network-related technologies. Your responsibilities will include:

Duties and Responsibilities

• Developing network architecture plans based on organizational needs and growth projections.
• Selecting and configuring hardware and software components for network deployments.
• Creating and maintaining network diagrams and documentation.
• Deploying, configuring, and maintaining network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
• Installing and maintaining network cabling and physical infrastructure.
• Ensuring network security through the implementation of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
• Monitoring network performance and security to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Performing regular updates and patches to network equipment and firmware.
• Implementing backup and disaster recovery plans for network systems.
• Investigating and resolving network connectivity and performance problems.
• Analyzing network traffic patterns and diagnosing network-related issues.
• Providing on-call support for network emergencies.

Skills and Experience Required

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Relevant Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a recognized Institute.
• Graduated within the last two (2) years or in the final year of study, and not more than twenty-six (26) years old.
• Recommendation/reference letter from the University/College you attended.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Rapid adaptability and swift skill acquisition in a dynamic work environment.

Requirements

• Must have a working Laptop throughout the program.
• Dedication to work for 6 months without disruption.
• Ability to finance yourself for the 6-month period.
• Willingness to work extra hours when required.
