Credit Controller Interns (2 Positions)

Your responsibilities will include collecting debts from our company debtors, evaluating credit requests, ensuring timely payments, processing invoices, maintaining our sales ledger, and providing essential administrative support.

Job Description

As a Credit Controller Intern, you will focus on mitigating risks and maximizing profits by ensuring that company credit is paid in full and on time. Your role is critical in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our debt collection process, benefiting both our company and our valued clients. You will also contribute to future financial decisions by analyzing and reporting on current financial activity within the company.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Evaluating Credit Requests: Assess and approve new credit requests while conducting client credit checks.
• Debt Management: Expertly manage and collect debts from company debtors.
• Credit Terms: Establish credit terms for new clients and negotiate payment plans.
• Payment Collection: Oversee the collection of all payments and debts.
• Client Relations: Provide exceptional customer service by responding to client inquiries.
• Financial Administration: Process invoices, prepare statements, and generate reports for the company accountant.
• Sales Ledger: Manage and maintain the sales ledger.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with customers and the sales team.

Skills and Experience Required

• Education: Relevant Degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, CPA, or related field from a recognized Institute.
• Experience: Recently graduated or in the final year of study, aged not more than twenty-six (26) years.
• Recommendation: Provide a recommendation/reference letter from the University/College you attended.
• Financial Acumen: Possess a strong understanding of the legal complexities of loans, payment plans, and interest rates.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office software.
• Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to handle challenging client interactions.
• Adaptability: Rapidly adapt to a dynamic work environment and acquire new skills swiftly.

Additional Requirements

• Laptop: Must have access to a working laptop throughout the program.
• Commitment: Dedicate yourself to a continuous 6-month internship without disruptions.
• Financial Stability: Be prepared to finance yourself during this period.
• Flexibility: Be willing to work extra hours when required and in shifts.
