Job Description:

As a Nutrition and Dietetics Technologist III, your expertise will be pivotal in providing essential nutrition services across various healthcare settings, including community, maternal and child health care, and hospital wards and kitchens. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Planning and Formulating Therapeutic Diets: Collaborate closely with Senior Nutrition Officers to develop and manage therapeutic diets tailored to individual needs.

2. Nutrition Resource Expert: Be a key resource person on nutrition matters within the health team, sharing your insights and knowledge to enhance overall patient care.

3. Community Weaning Food Development: Work with families to create weaning foods using available community resources, contributing to improved infant and child nutrition.

4. Community Nutrition Projects: Initiate and oversee community projects that promote better nutrition practices, making a lasting impact on the well-being of the community.

5. Supervision and Guidance: Provide guidance and supervision to other staff members working under your direction, ensuring the delivery of high-quality nutrition services.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Community Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, or Nutrition & Dietetics from a recognized institution.
  • Registration with the Kenya Institute of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Certificate in computer applications.
