Job Overview

In this role, you’ll be an essential part of our team, responsible for driving authorized motor vehicles and ensuring their optimal functionality. Your commitment to maintaining vehicle systems, following safety protocols, and prioritizing passenger and cargo security will contribute to the success of our operations.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean Grade ‘D’ Plain or an equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
  • Possess a valid driving license free from current endorsements for class(es) of vehicle(s) that you may be required to drive.
  • Have attended a defensive driving Course.
  • Hold a valid certificate of Good Conduct from Kenya Police.
  • Completed a First-Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week from St. John Ambulance, the Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT), or any other recognized Institution.
  • Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities as a Driver I will include:

  • Driving authorized motor vehicles.
  • Conducting routine checks on vehicle’s cooling, oil, electrical and brake systems, tire pressure, etc.
  • Detecting and reporting malfunctioning of vehicle systems.
  • Maintaining work tickets for assigned vehicles.
  • Ensuring the security and safety of the vehicle on and off the road, as well as the safety of passengers and/or goods.
  • Maintaining vehicle cleanliness.

Compensation

As a valued member of our team, you’ll receive a competitive salary package:

  • Salary Range: KES 16,870 – 19,220
  • House Allowance: KES 4,125
  • Commuter Allowance: KES 3,000
