Job Opportunity: Senior Security Assistant and Senior Driver at Kasneb

1. Senior Security Assistant

  • Grade: Kasneb 7
  • Directorate: Corporate Services
  • Number of Posts: 1

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate security activities at Kasneb.
  • Ensure examination security both within and outside Kasneb.
  • Implement security measures to safeguard Kasneb assets against theft, pilferage, damage, and terrorism.
  • Gather information and conduct intelligence analysis to inform security preparedness across Kasneb operations.
  • Liaise with law enforcement agencies on security matters.
  • Regularly monitor the security situation and escalate potential security hazards.
  • Establish and maintain an operational emergency communication system.
  • Draft security reports.
  • Carry out physical inspection of Kasneb premises for safety and security.
  • Monitor security surveillance and prepare reports on incidents and accidents within Kasneb.
  • Ensure risk management and the implementation of the ISO Quality Management System.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Security Management from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of five (5) years in disciplined forces with at least three (3) years in intelligence services.
  • Certificate in security surveillance, intelligence, and investigations.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution.

2. Senior Driver

  • Grade: Kasneb 8
  • Directorate: Corporate Services
  • Number of Posts: 1
  • Job Reference Number: HRM/CS/3/2023

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the inspection of Kasneb vehicles.
  • Oversee the implementation of the fleet management policy.
  • Drive Board vehicles as authorized.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness.
  • Carry out routine checks on the vehicle.
  • Prepare maintenance/repair schedules for vehicles.
  • Ensure the security and safety of the vehicle and passengers.
  • Monitor and report expiry of insurance policies for motor vehicles.
  • Detect and report mechanical faults on vehicles.
  • Ensure adherence to traffic laws.
  • Prepare and submit reports on transport.
  • Ensure risk management and the implementation of the ISO Quality Management System.

Requirements:

  • High school (KCSE/KCE) D+ (Plus) or equivalent qualification.
  • Valid driving license for vehicles classes B, C, CE, D1, D2, and D3.
  • Defensive driving certificate from the Automobile Association (AA) of Kenya or equivalent.
  • Refresher course for drivers lasting not less than one (1) week.
  • Eight (8) years’ experience as a Driver.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
  • First Aid Certificate course lasting not less than one week.
