We are looking for a highly motivated and proactive IT Assistant to join our dynamic Technology department. This role is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about technology and eager to enhance their skills in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

As an IT Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the organization’s technology systems. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Technical Support and Troubleshooting

  • Providing technical support to users across the organization.
  • Diagnosing and resolving issues to maintain a fully functional network infrastructure.
  • Conducting regular system checks and preparing detailed reports for the Head of IT in line with company IT policies.

Network Management and Configuration

  • Designing, configuring, and maintaining network services for both wired and wireless devices.
  • Performing L2 switching and L3 routing to optimize network efficiency.
  • Ensuring smooth telephony system operations, including onboarding and offboarding users.

Security and Compliance

  • Deploying and administering security services in compliance with the organization’s security standards.
  • Ensuring 100% adherence to the set security policy standards to safeguard information systems.

System Development and Maintenance

  • Undertaking projects such as system upgrades, maintenance, and basic programming.
  • Implementing new IT solutions to enhance system resilience.

Collaboration and Reporting

  • Liaising with project management teams, third-line engineers, and service desk engineers for seamless service delivery.
  • Reporting network operational status and providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.

Other Duties

  • Carrying out additional responsibilities as assigned by the organization.

Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.

Experience

  • 0-2 years of experience in a highly active IT support environment. (Ideal for fresh graduates or junior IT professionals.)

Professional Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory)

  • Networking certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or similar.
  • ITIL Certification to demonstrate knowledge of IT service management.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Proven expertise in network management and basic programming.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of multitasking effectively.
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and improve.
