Duty station: KNCCI Head Office, Nairobi
Job Level: Intern
Primary Responsibility:
As an Intern under the broad guidance of the Communications Manager, your primary responsibility is to take, edit, and process high-quality photos and videos, including video interviews. You will efficiently manage the post-production process and produce captivating visual content. Additionally, you will be tasked with generating captions for the same.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Contribute to Implementation of Communications Strategy: Assist in implementing the communications strategy in line with KNCCI’s mission, key messaging, core outcomes, and areas of excellence.
- Event Coverage: Capture photos and videos during KNCCI events and high-level meetings to enhance visibility.
- Digital Content Production: Collaborate with the Communications team to produce website and social media content using footage collected from field visits and events.
- Visual Storytelling: Create compelling photo essays, photo stories, and photo books to engage our audience.
- Media Management: Maintain a database for raw photos and video footage in an organized gallery.

Minimum Qualification and Other Requirements:
- Education: Diploma in journalism, public relations, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a similar role, preferably in a Media House or Public Relations firm. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and demonstrated extensive social media experience is an added advantage.
- Skills: Excellent written and oral English communication skills, proficiency in Kiswahili, and advanced knowledge of relevant photo and video editing software.
