Key Responsibilities:

1. Digital Workplace Analysis and Service Desk Support

  • Collaborate with departmental staff to gain hands-on exposure in various key areas.
  • Assist in Digital Workplace planning, documentation, and execution.
  • Contribute to the development of customer satisfaction benchmarks, ensuring adherence to SLAs.
  • Aid in the implementation, operation, and maintenance of End User Digital Technologies.
  • Engage in technical support for end users, resolving reported incidents and escalating issues when needed.
  • Participate in troubleshooting complex issues impacting multiple clients.
  • Work in tandem with vendor technical support to identify and implement solutions.
  • Provide round-the-clock support, ensuring seamless functionality during and beyond regular working hours.
  • Generate and share activity and status reports with supervisors.
  • Contribute to the closing of the customer feedback loop for continuous service enhancement.

2. Software Development, Server Administration, and Cloud Services

  • Conduct needs assessments to identify software requirements for organizational needs.
  • Contribute to the enhancement and modification of existing software systems.
  • Ensure consistent backup of local servers and support migration to cloud-based servers.
  • Maintain the integrity of user data through regular data cleaning.
  • Assist in updates, patches, and maintenance of organizational servers.

3. Network and Infrastructure Management

  • Play a role in network monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation.
  • Ensure uninterrupted connectivity between headquarters and field offices.
  • Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues across offices.
  • Support infrastructure power systems and power backup management.
  • Participate in on-site preventative maintenance and repairs of infrastructure.

4. Business Analysis and Vendor Management

  • Ensure technical resources are available for effective meetings, including video conferencing.
  • Monitor vendor services to ensure compliance with service level agreements.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of vendor solutions for alignment with organizational requirements.
  • Aid in staff enrollment and provide technical support for solutions.

Eligibility Criteria: To apply for this enriching internship opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.
  • Be a Kenyan citizen with a genuine passion for serving in rural and semi-urban areas.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to Christian faith, regardless of denomination.
  • Exhibit strong character, integrity, competence, and overall well-being.
  • Be prepared to dedicate a full year to the project.
  • Graduated within the last 1 year.
