Key Responsibilities

As an Insurance Sales Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract new insurance business.
  • Building relationships with potential and existing clients to enhance client retention and satisfaction.
  • Researching and identifying prospective clients through networking, referrals, and direct marketing.
  • Assessing clients’ insurance needs and recommending suitable protection plans.
  • Providing detailed explanations of insurance policies, their benefits, and potential risks.
  • Processing insurance applications, preparing client quotes, and maintaining accurate client records.
  • Reviewing insurance claims to build trust and maintain the agency’s reputation.
  • Staying updated on industry trends and adjusting sales strategies accordingly.
  • Conducting risk assessments and advising clients on the most suitable coverage.
  • Ensuring compliance with insurance regulations and company policies.

Qualifications and Skills

To qualify for this position, you should have:

  • Diploma in Insurance from a recognized institution.
  • Professional qualification such as COP (Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance).
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the insurance industry.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills.
  • High ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Exceptional planning, organization, and negotiation skills.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various insurance products.
