Job Summary

The Insurance Sales Agent will be responsible for identifying potential customers, selling insurance products, and delivering exceptional customer service. The agent will work closely with clients to offer customized insurance solutions tailored to meet individual and business needs. Key Responsibilities

  • Prospecting for Potential Customers: Identify and approach potential clients through different channels as per the company’s strategy.
  • Achieve Sales Goals: Meet unit and branch business goals by generating quality sales and providing superior customer service.
  • Develop Business Segments: Grow business as per the company’s strategic objectives and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide Competitive Quotations: Offer accurate and competitive insurance quotes to prospective clients.
  • Consultation: Advise clients on the best insurance covers based on their specific needs, ensuring that all factors are considered.
  • Client Engagement: Schedule meetings, prepare and deliver presentations to potential clients to showcase the company’s offerings.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong working relationships with intermediaries and existing customers to foster trust and loyalty.
  • Product Promotion: Regularly promote new and existing insurance products through continuous visits, phone calls, and emails to clients and prospects.
  • Market Knowledge: Stay updated on current market conditions and competitor products to provide clients with the best options available.
  • Customer Service: Address client queries and concerns promptly, ensuring satisfaction and long-term client retention.

Required Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Kenyan Citizenship or Registered Alien Resident: You must hold a valid Kenyan ID or be a legally registered resident.
  • KCSE Certificate: A minimum of a KCSE certificate is required, along with a valid KRA PIN.
  • Sales and Marketing Experience: Prior experience in sales and marketing is highly advantageous. Experience in the insurance industry is a plus.
  • Income Growth Potential: Ability to maximize earnings through a commission-based pay structure and incentive programs.
  • Strong Communication Skills: You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues effectively.
  • Customer Focus: A deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to provide personalized solutions.
