Duties and Responsibilities
I. Developing Innovative Solutions
In this dynamic role, your responsibilities will include:
I.1 Developing and Optimizing Programs
Creating exceptional computer programs based on instructions and specifications to meet our organization’s needs.
I.2 Configuring Seamless Solutions
Installing and configuring computer systems and solutions that drive efficiency and innovation throughout the organization.
II. Providing Stellar Support
Your role as an Expert Information Communications Technology Officer will involve:
II.1 Application Maintenance
Ensuring our application systems are up and running smoothly through dedicated maintenance efforts.
II.2 User Training and Support
Empowering end users with comprehensive training and support to maximize their utilization of ICT facilities.
III. Infrastructure Management
You will contribute to the backbone of our ICT systems:
III.1 Network Excellence
Installing, configuring, and closely monitoring components of our Local Area Network to ensure seamless connectivity.
III.2 User Administration
Administering and managing user accounts in the Active Directory, e-mail server, and User applications for optimal accessibility.
IV. Data Security and Continuity
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring data security and uninterrupted operations:
IV.1 ICT Asset Management
Maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date records of our ICT equipment and issuance.
IV.2 Website Enhancement
Updating and maintaining our Authority’s website to ensure it remains a current and informative platform.
IV.3 Business Continuity Champion
Guaranteeing business continuity through regular data and application backups, safeguarding our organization’s operations.
Requirements for Appointment
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
1. Education Excellence
Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following fields:
- Information Technology
- Computer Science
- Business IT
- Software Engineering
- ICT Project Management
- Computer Engineering
2. Constitutional Compliance
Fulfill the requirements outlined in Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution, demonstrating your commitment to ethical and responsible conduct.

a. Individual Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA);
b. Higher Education Loans Board (HELB);
c. Directorate of Criminal Investigation (Certificate of Good); and
d. An Approved Credit Reference Bureau.
