Job Summary:
As an Office Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness, providing full-time support to various departments, and ensuring the smooth operations of our Mariakani Branch. Reporting to the Customer Care Officer, you’ll contribute to creating a conducive working environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Full-Time Departmental Support:
- Provide dedicated support to all departments as assigned.
- Meeting Arrangements:
- Efficiently arrange meeting venues in advance.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Perform photocopying tasks and clerical duties as required.
- Hospitality:
- Prepare and serve tea to staff and visitors.
- Messenger Duties:
- Carry out office messenger duties when needed.
- Asset Management:
- Take care of SACCO assets, including routine accounting.
- Office Maintenance:
- Undertake minor repairs and report major ones promptly.
- Ensure cleanliness of office equipment, compound, furniture, and files.
- Member Assistance:
- Assist members with necessary information.
- Inventory Management:
- Keep an inventory of office supplies and reorder as needed.
- Registry Maintenance:
- Maintain the branch registry.
- Marketing and Representation:
- Competently represent the SACCO when required.
- Additional Duties:
- Undertake any lawful duty as assigned.
Qualifications:
- KCSE C-(Minus) and above.
- Professional Certificate in Computer Applications.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
- Any certificate from a recognized institution.
- Certificate in accounting/business-related course (added advantage).
- Good communication skills, a pleasant personality, and a positive attitude.
