Role Overview:
As an ICT Officer at IEK, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and optimization of our information and communication technology systems. You will be responsible for maintaining our network infrastructure, providing technical support to staff, and implementing innovative ICT solutions to enhance organizational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Network Infrastructure Management:
- Manage and maintain IEK’s network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to ensure uninterrupted access to resources.
- Implement security measures to safeguard against cyber threats and unauthorized access.
2. System Administration:
- Administer and support our IT systems, including servers, operating systems, and software applications.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates, backups, and patches, to ensure system reliability and data integrity.
- Provide technical assistance to users and resolve IT-related issues in a timely manner.
3. ICT Strategy Development:
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement an ICT strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in ICT systems and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
4. User Training and Support:
- Conduct training sessions for staff to promote IT literacy and ensure optimal utilization of ICT resources.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to users to address their IT needs and enhance productivity.
5. ICT Project Management:
- Lead or participate in ICT projects, from planning and implementation to evaluation and documentation.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure and providing technical support in a professional setting.
- Proficiency in network administration, system administration, and IT project management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
