Key Responsibilities

As a Human Resource Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting the HR team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in Recruitment and Selection: Supporting the HR team in posting job vacancies, reviewing applications, and coordinating interviews.
  • Employee Onboarding: Assisting in the onboarding process of new employees, including preparing orientation materials, scheduling training, and ensuring smooth integration into the company.
  • HR Administrative Tasks: Maintaining accurate employee records, updating databases, and assisting with filing and document management.
  • Time and Attendance Tracking: Assisting in monitoring employee attendance and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Supporting Payroll Processing: Assisting the HR team in gathering data for payroll and ensuring timely and accurate salary disbursement.
  • Handling Confidential Information: Ensuring that sensitive employee data is handled with the utmost confidentiality and in line with company policies.
  • HR Policy Implementation: Assisting in the implementation of HR policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Employee Engagement Activities: Supporting the coordination of team-building activities and staff events to enhance employee morale and engagement.
  • Training and Development Support: Helping in the organization of training sessions, including scheduling, communication, and feedback collection.
  • Performance Management Assistance: Supporting the performance appraisal process by helping in the preparation of appraisal forms and collecting feedback.

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management: A recent graduate or a final-year student pursuing a degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in performing administrative tasks.
  • Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Working knowledge of MS Office applications, especially MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous Internship or Work Experience: Prior experience in a similar role or internship within a HR department will be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with HR Software: Knowledge of HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively within a team.

Location
