Duties and Responsibilities

Patient Care and Management

• Assessing and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments to plan effective nursing interventions and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Providing Healthcare Services: Deliver essential healthcare services including Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI), Immunization, PMTC, antenatal care, and delivery.
• Health Education and Counseling: Educate and counsel patients, clients, and the community on identified health needs.
• Referral and Admission: Refer patients and clients appropriately, facilitate admissions, and initiate discharge plans.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of patients’ and clients’ health conditions and care.

Clinical Environment Management

• Ensuring Safety: Maintain a tidy and safe clinical environment to promote patient safety.
• Data Collection: Collect and compile data to support health programs and initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

Educational Requirements

• Diploma in Nursing: Must possess a diploma in one of the following disciplines: Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, Kenya Registered Nursing, Kenya Registered Midwifery, Kenya Registered Nursing/Midwifery, or Kenya Registered Nursing/Mental Health and Psychiatry from a recognized institution.

Professional Requirements

• Registration and Licensing: Must have a registration certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya and a valid practicing license.
• Computer Skills: Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution is required.
