Position Overview
As a Hair Stylist Technician at Novotel, you will make customers look and feel their best by providing fashionable haircuts and hair color services. You’ll listen to clients’ preferences, recommend suitable hairstyles based on face shape and complexion, and educate them about proper hair and scalp care. Your role will involve shampooing, blow-drying, cutting, coloring, grooming, and styling hair, ensuring a relaxed and pampered experience for every client. Success in this role will be measured by achieving daily sales quotas, improving customer retention, and expanding our clientele.

Key Responsibilities
- Haircut and Styling Services: Provide professional haircut, blow-dry, and hair styling services. Offer bleaching, coloring, and hair tinting services.
- Client Consultation: Listen to clients’ preferences and recommend styles based on their face shape and complexion.
- Customer Experience: Ensure a relaxing and pampered experience for every client.
- Salon Atmosphere: Maintain a positive and relaxed salon atmosphere.
- Sanitation and Cleanliness: Keep tools and workstations clean and sanitized.
- Client Acquisition: Proactively acquire new clients and improve customer retention through relationship-building.
- Stay Updated: Keep abreast of current fashion trends and popular hairstyles.
- Product Inventory: Maintain a strong inventory of hair care products.
- Appointment Management: Keep appointments on schedule and manage a flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and certain holidays.
Qualifications and Skills
- Customer Service: Outstanding customer service and strong communication skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Outgoing, friendly demeanor with the ability to build strong client relationships.
- Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of different hair tools and products.
- Creativity: Creative, artistic, and innovative approach to hair styling.
- Organization: Strong organizational and management skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended hours.
- Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail.
- Professionalism: Professional and friendly customer approach.
- Fashion Passion: Passion for fashion trends and hair care.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in an upscale salon or hospitality and spa industry.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma in Hair. A beauty or cosmetology certificate is desirable.
