Project Overview

Join our team for the Spotlight Initiative Africa Regional Programme! APHRC, alongside partner institutions, is creating three courses: Gender Transformative Programming, African Union Human Rights Instruments, and Sex-Age Disaggregated Data Analysis on violence against women and girls. We’re seeking a skilled Graphic Designer to transform these courses into visually engaging, interactive experiences in English and French on our Moodle platform. This consultancy role spans two months.

Role Scope

As a Graphic Designer, you will:

  1. Craft interactive, self-paced courses within the Moodle environment.
  2. Translate course content into captivating visuals, integrating text, voiceovers, images, motion graphics, icons, 2D animations, and characters.
  3. Ensure design aligns with APHRC’s branding and style guidelines.
  4. Conduct thorough course testing to ensure functionality.

Qualifications & Experience

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Certification in Graphics Design.
  • Certification in Moodle Learning Management System curriculum development.
  • Proven experience with Moodle Learning Management System.
  • Proficiency in HTML5 Package (H5P), lessons, and books in Moodle.
  • Strong graphic design skills using software like Adobe Design Premium, Harmony Premium, In-Design, CorelDraw, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Adobe Animate, 2D animations, and Photoshop.
  • Video editing and screen-casting abilities.
  • Track record of managing graphic production from conception to publication.
  • Familiarity with new technologies and digital platforms.
  • Team collaboration skills, meeting deadlines, and adapting to changes efficiently.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
