Program Purpose

The Graduate Management Trainee (GMT) Program at Tata Chemicals Magadi is designed to nurture young talent by providing a structured environment that encourages learning, growth, and the ability to contribute meaningfully to the organization. While this program does not guarantee employment upon completion, TCML is dedicated to offering extensive on-the-job experience that prepares graduates for future opportunities in the industry.


Key Responsibilities

The Graduate Management Trainees will be exposed to various operations and functions within the manufacturing department, allowing them to develop skills in line with the company’s strategic objectives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Participating in departmental rotations to gain comprehensive insights into different areas of the business.
  • Assisting in process improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and safety.
  • Contributing to strategic projects aimed at optimizing operational performance.
  • Learning and applying best practices in manufacturing, technology, and supply chain management.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve operational challenges.
  • Reporting on progress, providing feedback, and offering innovative solutions for continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

To be considered for this Graduate Management Trainee position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: Graduated in the academic year 2023/2024 with a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following fields:
    • Computer Science/Information Technology or a related field.
    • Analytical Chemistry.
    • Law (Candidates must have completed KSL and been admitted to the bar).
    • Supply Chain Management (CIPS certification is an added advantage).
  • Academic Performance: Attained a minimum of 2nd Class Upper Division.
