Job Summary

The General Manager will provide strategic leadership, ensuring that all aspects of the company’s logistics and transportation operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the fuel transportation industry, with a proven track record of achieving operational excellence, enhancing client relations, and leading business development initiatives. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and financial management skills to help the company achieve its goals.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth, optimize operational efficiency, and strengthen the company’s market position within the fuel transportation industry.
  • Collaborate with senior executives to create long-term strategies that align with business objectives and market opportunities.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee all aspects of the company’s fleet management, including route optimization and ensuring adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
  • Monitor and improve day-to-day operations by leveraging logistics software and best practices to increase efficiency.

Financial Management

  • Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control measures to ensure financial targets are met and operational costs are optimized.
  • Analyze financial data to make informed decisions regarding investment opportunities, expenses, and overall company performance.

Business Development

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities, contracts, and partnerships that will expand the company’s client base and revenue streams in the fuel transportation sector.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and partners to position Amani Transporters and Logistics as a top provider of fuel delivery services.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, ensuring that all employees contribute to the company’s success.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement, ensuring that all team members adhere to company policies and regulations.

Client Relations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients to ensure their fuel transportation needs are met with the highest levels of service and reliability.
  • Regularly engage with clients to understand their evolving needs and ensure that Amani Transporters and Logistics remains a trusted partner.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, including health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Promote a culture of safety across the organization by regularly updating and training staff on regulatory requirements and compliance protocols.

Innovation & Technology

  • Leverage technology and industry innovations to enhance operational efficiency and maintain a competitive edge in the fuel transportation market.
  • Stay informed about new logistics technologies and ensure the company adopts best practices for fleet management and service delivery.

Qualifications and Skills

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the logistics or transportation industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management role within the fuel transportation sector.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale logistics operations, focusing on safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Skills and Experience

  • Strong financial management skills, with experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost management.
