Job Description

Kibabii University is a public university in Kenya located in Bungoma County along the Bungoma-Chwele highway. The university is committed to nurturing talent and fostering a conducive learning environment. We are currently seeking a passionate and driven Taekwondo Coach to join our Games and Sports department as an intern.

Kibabii University College is dedicated to the holistic development of students, and this role provides an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to kick-start their career in sports coaching while contributing to the university’s vibrant sports culture.


Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and conduct Taekwondo training sessions for university students.
  • Develop training programs that align with the skill levels of participants.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to enhance student performance.
  • Assist in organizing and managing Taekwondo competitions and events.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards during training and events.
  • Collaborate with the sports department to integrate Taekwondo into the overall sports curriculum.
  • Promote a positive learning environment that encourages discipline and teamwork.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized institution, preferably in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in Taekwondo, with a focus on coaching.
  • Strong understanding of sports training principles and techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for sports and a commitment to fostering a supportive and motivating environment for students.
  • First Aid certification is an added advantage.
