Merican Ltd is actively seeking a skilled Front Office Receptionist/Manager to join our team. As the first point of contact for clients and visitors, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a welcoming and professional atmosphere at our showroom. Your position will include a combination of client handling, administrative support, and ensuring efficient showroom operations.


Job Summary

As a Front Office Receptionist/Manager at Merican Ltd, you will ensure smooth daily operations in the showroom by effectively managing client interactions, maintaining the showroom environment, and providing administrative support. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.


Key Responsibilities

Client Handling

  • Greet and assist clients and visitors with a warm and professional demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Manage incoming phone calls, emails, and inquiries, providing accurate and prompt information to clients.
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments for clients and internal team members, ensuring effective time management.
  • Address client concerns and escalate issues when necessary, maintaining a high level of customer service.

Showroom Management

  • Oversee the daily operations of the showroom, ensuring it is clean, organized, and presentable to clients.
  • Coordinate product displays and ensure marketing materials are up to date and readily available for clients.
  • Assist in inventory management, monitoring stock levels and reordering supplies as needed.
  • Organize and participate in showroom events, promotions, and product demonstrations, ensuring successful execution.

Administrative Support

  • Maintain an organized filing system for client records, contracts, and other important documentation.
  • Prepare and process administrative paperwork, including creating quotations, invoices, and internal reports.
  • Assist in managing the front office budget and expenses, tracking costs and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Support management with various projects, offering assistance where necessary.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Diploma or equivalent in office management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a receptionist or front office management role, preferably in a client-facing environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to handle inquiries professionally.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with office management software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment, maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor, with a strong commitment to customer service and teamwork.
