Role Overview

As a Food Quality Assurance Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to maintain and enhance the quality and safety of our food products. You will work closely with the culinary team to ensure that every dish meets our high standards of taste, presentation, and hygiene.


Key Responsibilities

Quality Control Management

  • Implement and Enforce Quality Control Procedures: Develop and maintain rigorous quality control procedures for all food items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation standards.
  • Regular Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with established standards and identify areas for improvement.

Recipe Adherence

  • Collaborate with the Culinary Team: Work closely with chefs to ensure adherence to recipes and cooking techniques, providing guidance on ingredient sourcing, preparation methods, and portion sizes to maintain consistency and quality.

Food Safety Compliance

  • Ensure Compliance with Food Safety Regulations: Monitor kitchen hygiene practices, storage conditions, and temperature controls to prevent foodborne illnesses.
  • Implement Best Practices: Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and standards set by local health authorities.

Supplier Management

  • Collaborate with Vendors and Suppliers: Source high-quality ingredients that meet our standards for freshness and authenticity. Conduct regular inspections of incoming shipments to verify quality and freshness.

Training

  • Train Kitchen Staff: Provide comprehensive training on proper food handling procedures, sanitation practices, and health regulations. Offer ongoing education and coaching to ensure all team members understand and adhere to food quality protocols.

Quality Audits

  • Conduct Regular Audits: Assess compliance with quality and safety standards through regular audits of kitchen operations. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain the highest levels of quality.

Customer Feedback Analysis

  • Monitor Customer Feedback: Track and analyze customer feedback related to food quality and dining experiences. Address any quality concerns or issues promptly and implement measures to prevent recurrence.

Menu Development Support

  • Collaborate on Menu Development: Provide input and feedback on menu development initiatives to ensure new dishes align with our quality and authenticity standards. Work with the culinary team to test and refine new recipes before they are introduced to the menu.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Food Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Culinary Knowledge: Deep knowledge of various cuisines, including traditional ingredients, cooking methods, and flavor profiles.
  • Food Safety Expertise: Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in a restaurant setting.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and motivate kitchen staff.
