NaMATA JOB GRADE 6 – ONE (1) POSITION

We have an incredible opportunity for an entry-level Finance Officer to join our dynamic team at Nairobi Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (NaMATA). As a Finance Officer, you’ll work under the guidance of a Senior Officer, contributing to vital financial operations and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

I. Budget Management: Assist in creating and revising budgets according to the work plan, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial guidelines.

II. Budgetary Controls: Keep a watchful eye on the Vote Book, ensuring robust budget controls are in place to maintain financial integrity.

III. Document Security: Take charge of safeguarding important documents, maintaining their safe custody for future reference.

IV. Reporting: Review monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports, contributing to data-driven decisions.

V. Variance Analysis: Scrutinize Vote Book entries and perform monthly variance analysis, providing insights into financial performance.

VI. Accounting Analysis: Conduct comprehensive below-the-line analysis of accounts, contributing to a comprehensive financial overview.

Qualifications and Requirements:

To excel in this role, you need to meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Business Management (Finance Option), or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Proficiency in computer skills to effectively utilize financial software and tools.
  • Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution compliance.
