Position Summary

The Finance Manager will oversee all aspects of accounting and financial reporting, cash management, controllership, and budgeting functions of the Country Office. This role ensures the implementation of robust financial systems, compliance with regulations, mitigation of financial risks, and provision of quality financial services to support projects and programs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports.
  • Cash Management: Manage cash flow and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
  • Controllership: Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with financial policies.
  • Budgeting: Lead the budgeting process and monitor budget performance.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Support Services: Provide financial support to project teams and senior management.

Minimum Requirements

  • Educational Background:
    • Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance
    • Master’s in Business Administration (Finance) from a recognized university
  • Professional Qualifications:
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPAK) or ACCA Finalist
    • Membership with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK)
  • Experience:
    • At least Eight (8) years in a finance/accounting role
    • High proficiency in finance and accounting matters
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems
