Key Responsibilities
As the Field Sales Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our field operations. Your primary duties will include:
Team Recruitment and Development
- Recruit, train, motivate, and mentor a team of commission-based sales agents.
- Develop clear sales strategies to ensure the team meets its targets.
- Organize lead-generation initiatives to drive sales.
- Identify the training needs of the team and collaborate with the Sales Training Team to design effective programs.
Sales and Market Development
- Support sales agents in refining their customer-pitching techniques, especially for group sales (e.g., chamas).
- Monitor market trends, including customer behavior and competitor activities, and provide actionable insights to management.
Inventory and Reporting
- Manage inventory control for sales agents, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports to the Area Sales Manager.
Customer and Administrative Support
- Follow up on loan repayments from customers.
- Work closely with the local shop administrator to ensure the timely availability of stock for agents.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following:
Experience
- At least four years of experience in a sales-related field or microfinance.
- Proven experience working in rural areas and managing commission-based teams.
Skills and Abilities
- Exceptional leadership abilities and strong interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to plan and manage for results.
- Familiarity with lead-generation techniques and customer relationship management.
Education
- A diploma or degree in any academic field is an added advantage.
