Duties & Responsibilities

Setting Operational Terms

  • Establish the operational terms and contractual structure for working with Reseller partners.

Global Import/Export Strategy

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to devise and enhance our global import/export strategy.

Creative Problem Solving

  • Exhibit initiative in developing effective solutions to export challenges and procedures.

Standard Operating Procedures

  • Ensure the team maintains Standard Operating Procedures and enforces controls and procedures across all areas.

Resource Management

  • Oversee the planning and allocation of resources for shipping and dispatch, ensuring efficiency.

Marketing Strategy

  • Develop the PR elements of the marketing plan for allocated products/brands.

Partnership Development

  • Identify, negotiate, evaluate, and recommend opportunities for larger activations and partnerships across multiple channels.

Travel Flexibility

  • Be ready and willing to travel frequently to cultivate partnerships.

Generating Market Enthusiasm

  • Create enthusiasm in the marketplace for the organization’s portfolio.

Export Review and Classification

  • Periodically review and classify customer deliverables.

Compliance Expertise

  • Understand export compliance requirements and act as an escalation point for complex issues.

Regulatory Adherence

  • Ensure Business Unit(s) activities adhere to export control laws and regulations.

Classification Guidance

  • Provide export classification/ruling guidance to programs that include controlled goods.

Enhancing Efficiency

  • Recommend revisions and enhancements to our network to improve efficiencies.

Vendor and Provider Management

  • Manage the services and performance of vendors, third-party providers, and other relationships.

Classification System Oversight

  • Oversee and maintain the Classification System related to tariff research, duty rates, and valuation.

Customs Communication

  • Coordinate communication with Customs brokers and Customs bond underwriters.

Shipment Optimization

  • Advise business partners on cost-efficient shipment alternatives based on tariffs, insurance, and quotas.

Market Analysis

  • Analyze global industry trends to identify new markets and business opportunities.

Market Research

  • Design market research constructs, requirements, and procedures.

Customer Loyalty Plans

  • Develop customer loyalty plans for international markets.

Market Entry Strategies

  • Develop new market entry business strategies.

Marketing Strategies

  • Develop sales, marketing, brand communication, and public relations strategies for different international markets.

Data-Driven Insights

  • Lead the creation of data-driven insights and apply them to drive business success.

International Collaborations

  • Negotiate with international partners for new and ongoing business collaborations.

Customer Segmentation

  • Profile new target customers and market segments in international markets.

Customer Acquisition and Retention

  • Review customer acquisition and retention programs in various international markets.

Compliance Fulfilment

  • Support the fulfilment of certifications, regulatory requirements, and product export needs.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 7 years of relevant work experience in export compliance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics & Distribution, Business, Engineering, International Trade, Finance, or related fields.
  • Trade Compliance/regulatory experience.
  • Valid Driving License.
