1. Field Officer (USAID Nawiri) – Turkana
Job Summary
The Field Officer will play a pivotal role in implementing the USAID Nawiri program within Turkana County. The officer will engage with local communities, providing training, mentorship, and support to ensure the successful execution of program activities. You will work closely with stakeholders and local governments to foster resilience and promote sustainable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field visits to assess community needs and ensure alignment with USAID Nawiri objectives.
- Facilitate community-based training sessions on livelihood development, food security, and nutrition.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of ongoing projects, ensuring that program goals are met.
- Collaborate with local leaders and government officials to strengthen partnerships.
- Prepare detailed reports on project progress and community engagement.
2. Grants Manager
Job Summary
The Grants Manager will oversee the administration and compliance of grants within the USAID Nawiri program. This role requires the ability to manage multiple grants, ensuring all financial activities adhere to donor and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of grant activities, from proposal writing to final reporting.
- Ensure grants are compliant with USAID regulations and internal policies.
- Work closely with finance teams to develop and monitor grant budgets.

This involves direct supervision of project teams, ensuring effective community engagement, and driving sustainable change in food security and nutrition outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and delivery of community-based resilience programs.
- Engage with key local stakeholders, including government and NGO partners.
- Ensure program activities are aligned with USAID Nawiri objectives and timelines.
