Scholarship Provisions:

The scholarship covers:

  • Tuition fees

Eligibility Criteria:


  • Minimum KCSE Mean Grade: B (plain)
  • Age: Not more than 25 years
  • Grade “B” in core subjects in the preferred field
  • Completed secondary education in the last three years
  • Original KCSE certificate


  • Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree (upper second-class honors for Master’s)
  • Relevant Master’s degree for PhD
  • Age: Below 38 years for Masters, 45 years for PhD

Application Procedure:

Step 1: Online Application

  1. Complete the online application at apply.stipendiumhungaricum.hu.
  2. Deadline: 15th January 2024 (2 pm Central European Time).

Step 2: Additional Requirements

  • Doctoral candidates should visit http://www.doktori.hu before applying.
  • Doctoral applicants must have a supervisor at the host university.
  • Candidates in service should submit applications through their Heads of Departments.
  • Download the Standard Scholarship Application Form from the Ministry of Education Website.

Step 3: Submission

  • Complete the Standard Scholarship Application Form.
  • Attach certified documents (ID, academic/professional certificates, transcripts, birth certificate, passport, other testimonials).
  • Send to: Director, Higher Education Ministry of Education, P. O. Box 9583 – 00200, Nairobi Or deliver to: Teleposta Towers, 27th floor, Room 2701, by 17th January 2024 at 5:00 pm.
