Position Summary
As the Accelerator and Learning Platform Manager, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and delivering activities on the citiesRISE Accelerator and Learning Platform. This platform supports innovators, cities, and young people in achieving paradigm shifts in youth mental health. Your efforts will contribute to enhancing the impact of innovations, building knowledge in mental health, and fostering meaningful youth engagement.
Responsibilities
Program Design and Delivery (50%)
- Craft and implement the long-term strategy for the Accelerator and Learning Platform, catering to different constituents.
- Conduct needs assessments for various stakeholders to inform program design.
- Collaborate with research and innovation hubs to set up targeted Accelerator support in priority cities, promoting the Mental Health Friendly Cities (MHFC) framework.
- Facilitate the design of platform offerings, ensuring distinct Accelerator and Learning Platform support aligned with constituents’ needs and citiesRISE’s goals.
- Efficiently coordinate logistics and project planning, overseeing delivery by a team of dedicated staff and partners.
- Lead the development and delivery of offerings in select areas (e.g., meaningful youth engagement, partnerships, scale, evaluation).
- Monitor and report financials accurately and promptly.
Partnerships and Innovative Financing (25%)
- Manage relationships with innovators, faculty, and partners delivering services via the platform.
- Cultivate relationships with multiple funders supporting the platform, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
- Contribute to developing a long-term business model for platform growth and sustainability.
- Mobilize new financing mechanisms for the Accelerator and support the MHFC Fund’s development.
- Strengthen strategic relationships with anchor partners and funders to expand the platform’s reach.
Field Building (25%)
- Lead marketing activities to raise awareness about the platform and its impact on youth mental health.
- Identify ways for the platform to support citiesRISE’s other areas of work, such as city research and youth-led campaigns for Mental Health Friendly Cities.
- Develop a learning agenda and produce learning products like reports, briefs, and workshops.
Candidate Requirements
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Experience scaling innovations in global health or related areas across multiple countries.
- Knowledge and experience in global mental health, youth programming, social innovation, or innovative financing.
- Expertise in developing accelerator and/or learning platform programs for stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders, fostering collaboration across sectors and cultures.
- Strong program and project management skills, contributing to long-term objectives.
- Proficiency in managing multiple deadlines and activities simultaneously.
- Experience working in global, virtual team environments across time zones.
- Excellent synthesis and communication skills, both written and verbal.
