About Us: Welcome to the Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation (KDIC), a statutory institution established under the KDIC Act, 2012. We operate under the Ministry of National Treasury and Planning and serve as the country’s Resolution Authority for banks. Our mission is to promptly resolve problem banks, provide a robust deposit insurance scheme for customers of member institutions, and incentivize sound risk management.

The KDIC Youth Internship Opportunity

Eligibility: Who Can Apply? If you’re a highly motivated and qualified candidate from a university or college, we invite you to explore the exciting internship opportunities outlined below. Successful candidates will be placed in the following Departments for a one-year internship:

Distribution of Internship Opportunities

  1. Resolution: 2 Positions
  2. Procurement: 1 Position

Total Internship Slots Available: 3

Basic Requirements:

To embark on this exciting journey, you’ll need:

  • An application letter
  • A relevant bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
  • Copies of Academic Transcripts
  • A Recommendation letter from your learning institution
  • Kenyan youth between 21 and 34 years of age
  • A copy of your National Identification Card
  • Medical Insurance coverage from the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) or another reputable medical scheme firm

Eligibility and Duration of Internship:

  • The internship duration is strictly twelve (12) months, nonrenewable.
  • Eligible candidates are unemployed Kenyan graduates who have completed their degree courses and have not yet gained work experience in their field of study.

Successful candidates must meet the following additional requirements:

  1. A valid Certificate of good conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations
  2. Personal accident insurance to cover personal risks for at least twelve (12) months
  3. A Copy of the PIN certificate
  4. A Copy of the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) card
  5. A Copy of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) card
  6. Two (2) passport-size photos
  7. Bank details
