Introduction

The AZA Finance Internship Program is a year-long learning experience tailored for 3rd year university students, recent graduates, or those taking a gap year. As an Engineering intern, you will dive deep into the world of fintech and play a pivotal role in our continuous growth in the competitive global market.

The Internship

As an Engineering intern at AZA Finance, you’ll work closely with our Product department, contributing to the development of new features and ensuring their seamless integration into our platform. Your responsibilities will include coding, testing, and problem-solving, as well as collaborating with various departments like Trading, Revenue, Compliance, Finance, and Operations.

This full-time position within our ENGINEERING department also includes participation in our Rotational Development Program, where you’ll learn from leaders in different areas of the company.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in an agile Engineering team, following SCRUM principles.
• Attend SCRUM meetings (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and grooming sessions).
• Write and debug code based on sprint requirements.
• Assist in testing and deploying code.

Requirements

To be eligible for this opportunity, you should meet the following criteria:

• Recent graduate or currently enrolled in a relevant field of study.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Working knowledge of at least one web development framework, preferably Ruby on Rails.
• Familiarity with at least one relational database, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Enrolled in a relevant area of study related to Software Engineering.
• A passion for developing a broad range of technical skills, including data analysis and coding in Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
