Key Responsibilities

1. Attend Aircraft Maintenance Courses

• Participate in basic aircraft maintenance courses.
• Pass required company examinations to advance in the training program.

2. Perform Assigned Maintenance Tasks

• Execute maintenance tasks under guidance during on-the-job training (OJT).
• Support experienced engineers with various assignments and projects.

3. Shadow Aircraft Maintenance Operations

• Observe and learn from actual aircraft maintenance and support area operations.
• Engage in shadowing to understand day-to-day engineering activities.

4. Undertake a Group Project

• Work on a group project that supports engineering and maintenance activities.
• Utilize project management processes to estimate, assess risks, and report progress.

5. Participate in Additional Activities

• Engage in activities that foster networking and professional development.
• Build connections within the engineering and maintenance teams.

6. Gain Multi-Discipline Engineering Skills

• Acquire skills in a multi-discipline engineering environment.
• Use MRO software and understand operational activities within Kenya Airways.

7. Support Operational Departments

• Familiarize yourself with the Flight Operations and Ground Operations departments.
• Perform any additional duties related to training as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized institution (Upper Second-Class Honors preferred).

Experience

• Relevant internship and academic project experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in a busy engineering environment is desirable.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Good technical report writing abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Self-driven with minimal supervision required.
• Highly organized and self-motivated with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
