Basic Salary Scale: Kshs. 23,700 – 31,450 per month (Job Group ‘G’)

Key Responsibilities
As an ECDE Teacher III, you will be entrusted with a variety of responsibilities aimed at promoting the educational, social, and emotional development of young children. Your duties will include:
- Class Teaching: Implementing effective teaching strategies to facilitate learning.
- Role Modelling: Providing guidance and counseling, mentoring, and motivating learners.
- Report Preparation: Maintaining accurate records and preparing necessary reports.
- Safety and Security: Ensuring a safe and secure learning environment for all learners.
- Activity Design: Assisting in designing, organizing, and facilitating play and learning activities.
- Holistic Development: Caring for the spiritual, moral, social, mental, physical, aesthetic, and emotional growth of learners.
- Class Management: Managing ECDE classes and keeping professional and administrative records, including schemes of work, lesson plans, daily programs of activities, and attendance registers.
- Material Preparation: Preparing and developing play and learning materials.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education:
- Minimum of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) grade D+ (Plus) plus a Certificate in Early Childhood Development and Education offered by KNEC or the Ministry of Education or its approved equivalent.
- Teachers serving in public ECDE centers in Nakuru County with KCSE grades D and D- (minus) and a Certificate in ECDE from the Ministry of Education or KNEC are also eligible to apply.
- Alternatively, KCSE grade D+ (Plus) plus a Certificate in Early Childhood Development and Education offered by KNEC or Ministry of Education or its approved equivalent plus a Diploma in Early Childhood Development and Education offered by KNEC or its approved equivalent.
- Registration: Must be registered by the Teachers Service Commission.
- Computer Skills: A Certificate in Computer Applications.
