Key Responsibilities

As a Driver for the Embassy of Kenya in Washington D.C., you will:

  • Operate Embassy vehicles for official assignments and protocol duties.
  • Perform daily maintenance tasks, including cleaning and vehicle checks.
  • Ensure timely servicing and scheduled maintenance of vehicles.
  • Assist in protocol duties, including facilitating transportation for Embassy officials and guests.
  • Be available for flexible work schedules as needed.
  • Adhere to traffic laws and ensure the safety of passengers and vehicles.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by Embassy Administration.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Additional skills in mechanical, electrical, or IT fields are advantageous.
  • Driving License: A valid driver’s license with evidence of a clean driving record.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of professional driving experience.
  • Knowledge: Excellent understanding of the DC Metropolitan area.
  • Work Authorization: A valid work authorization permit issued by the U.S. Government.
  • Conduct: Certificate of good conduct or equivalent.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work beyond regular schedules.
