About Girl Child Network (GCN)

Girl Child Network (GCN) is a National Network of Organizations dedicated to improving programming in the children’s sector through advocacy and promoting children’s rights. Our mission is to foster an environment where children, especially girls, can thrive and access quality education and resources. In partnership with Aidlink, we are implementing the “Let Children Learn” project aimed at promoting the participation of out-of-school children in education, particularly those from Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASALS). As part of this initiative, we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Driver to join our team in Kajiado County.


Job Summary

As a Driver for GCN, you will play a crucial role in supporting our field operations. You will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient transportation for staff, distributing project materials to schools, maintaining vehicle records, and performing other duties as assigned by your supervisor.


Key Responsibilities

  • Staff Transportation: Safely transport staff members from the office to various field locations.
  • Material Distribution: Support the distribution of project materials to schools within the project area.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the assigned vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements and any maintenance activities.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as required by the Administration/Logistics Officer.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Educational Requirements: Minimum of a Form Four Certificate.
  • Driving Experience: Advanced driving license with at least 4 years of driving experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Grade Test qualifications in mechanics and driving.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, excellent driving skills, and familiarity with the Kajiado County region.
