Job Title: Driver

Location: Samburu, Kenya

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Driver to provide transportation and logistical support for GS Kenya. Based in Samburu, the Driver will ensure the safe and efficient movement of staff and visitors, maintain vehicles in optimal condition, and support logistical tasks as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport staff and visitors to meetings and appointments.
  • Maintain vehicles in good condition, including regular cleaning and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with vehicle insurance, licensing, and registration requirements.
  • Assist with logistical tasks such as deliveries, visa applications, and mail collection.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

  • Knowledge of Samburu county and surrounding areas.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform basic vehicle maintenance.
  • Basic first aid knowledge.
  • Strong multitasking abilities.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and support organizational goals.

Requirements Standards

  • Secondary school ‘O’ level graduate or equivalent vocational training.
  • 5-7 years of driving experience in a professional setting.
  • Proficiency in English and Kiswahili.
  • Valid certificate of good conduct.
  • Familiarity with traffic rules and regulations.
  • Clear eye test certification.
  • Experience driving for diplomatic missions or NGOs is advantageous.
