Welcome to Ebenezer Commercial Works Ltd (ECWL), a leading organization specializing in road maintenance and weighbridge management operations. Position Overview:

As a Driver at ECWL, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our vehicles. Reporting directly to the Weighbridge/Cluster Manager, you will uphold our Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct while performing your duties.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Maintenance: Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of assigned vehicles, including checking oil, water, battery, brakes, and tires. Perform minor repairs as needed.
• Trip Logging: Log all trips, daily mileage, fuel consumption, oil changes, and greasing activities.
• Safety and Compliance: Abide by all transportation laws, maintain a safe driving record, and ensure vehicles are always in compliance with safety regulations.
• Emergency Response: Chase any transgressing vehicles that refuse to divert for weighing or stop when ordered by police during mobile operations, always in the company of a uniformed police officer on duty.
• Fuel Management: Ensure vehicles have sufficient fuel and are always ready for use. Arrange for vehicle repairs when necessary.
• Route Adherence: Follow assigned routes and adhere to time schedules to ensure timely transportation of clients and staff as instructed by the Operations Manager.
• Additional Duties: Carry out any other assignments instructed by the Cluster Manager or Operations Manager.

Key Qualifications:

• Minimum of KCSE or equivalent with good passes in English and arithmetic.
• Holder of a class B-C-E driving license.
• At least 3 years of experience as a driver in a busy work environment.
• Ability to drive a 4-wheel manual vehicle and at least 6-wheel trucks and above.
• Possession of a certificate of good conduct from the relevant government authority.
• At least two years of accident-free driving experience.
• Approachable, flexible, diligent, reliable, and customer-focused.
